Welcome to LEDxLight! We are here to provide information and services for your Solid State Lighting needs. We look forward to helping you make informed decisions about your lighting projects.

LED and OLED lighting is making inroads into all kinds of projects including kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoors of your home; light poles and bollards in your local parks and roadways; tray ceilings, display cases and recessed fixtures in commercial establishments as well as cars, boats and RV’s.

The reason for this is becoming more and more evident everyday. Solid State Lighting (SSL) is long lasting, consistent and, over time, much less expensive to use than either incandescent or flourescent lighting products. Unlike compact flourescent (CFL), SSL does not contain any hazardous materials, thereby making SSL greener from both a usability and disposal standpoint compared to CFL.

Due to their smaller size, SSL can be used in places CFL cannot, like in the dashboard of your boat, tight spaces on your deck to light stairs or behind a small picture frame to backilight it. SSL also runs much cooler than incandescents so they can be used to light perishable items, making them a great choice for refrigerators and other coolers.

Probably the best feature of SSL is its long life. SSL can last as long as 40 years before needing to be replaced, making it an excellent choice for recessed fixtures in vaulted ceilings and other hard to reach places. Villages and towns can save substantial amounts of money over time from reduced maintenance costs, in some cases millions of dollars a year.

What many people appreciate best about SSL is that it’s a green technology, providing benefits from lower energy usage and clean disposal. A typical 60w incanescent can be replaced by a 12w LED that will last up to 25 times longer than an incandescent, even better than a 13w CFL.

If you have a project where you might be considering changing out your lighting fixtures and bulbs, please feel free to see our blog posts and drop us a message. We would be happy to help you make informed decisions and install the best products for your application.

Thanks for coming and we look forward to hearing from you!

You should make more mention of horticultural applications of LED, as that is a rapidly expanding market, at a pace even my LED company cannot keep up with in any capacity! Cree just released new technology we’d like to use that can match up with HID lamps, putting fluorescent lamps of all but the absolute highest quality and output in the same tier as halogen lighting.

New advancements are coming! We’d like to keep up but so much is happening even the pros aren’t able to make heads or tails of which technology is happening! Even OLD induction technology is starting to make new headway!

It’s hard to search out educated people on this topic, but you sound like you realize what you’re talking about! Thanks
